LZ Granderson, contributor to CNN and ESPN, wrote this great article on why it’s important to laud our children for not only their athletic abilities, but for their minds. It’s a great thing for Dads to read especially. It doesn’t take long to find the out-of-control Little League Dad screaming at the top of his lungs and praising his kid for hitting a home run…I wonder if he shows the same enthusiasm for when his son brings home a report card full of “A’s.” LZ thinks we should, and I agree.
